Seasonal Climate Variations / When to Go

September and October stay pleasantly mild and by day, temperatures rarely stray far from 24°C / 75°F or 23°C / 73°F, although quickly begin to feel cooler when November arrives. The climate tends to be at its wettest from late October to early March, and blue skies are often partly hidden by intermittent grey clouds at this time of the year, although sunshine is never too far away.

If you are planning a holiday in Faro and are wishing to avoid the main crowds, then July and August should be avoided, since this is a very busy tourism period and the beautiful beaches are filled with sunbathers. Consider visiting in either the late spring or early autumn, when the weather is still very warm and the most popular beaches are much less crowded.
